Flyball:
Flyball is an exciting dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from the start to the finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring-loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball. Flyball is run in teams of four dogs, as a relay.
Rally
Rally is a dog sport that combines elements of obedience and agility, where handlers guide their dogs through a course of numbered stations, each with specific tasks to perform. It emphasizes teamwork and allows handlers to communicate with their dogs throughout the course, making it a fun and engaging way to train and bond with pets
Tricks
Teaching your dog tricks is fun for you and for your dog. During trick classes you will learn how to teach your
dog tricks using positive reinforcement. Not only will your dog learn some tricks, but trick training will help
your dog become a dog that loves to learn. Tricks training provides mental stimulation for your dog and
strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
Agility
Designed to demonstrate a dog's willingness to work with his handler in a variety of situations, agility is an athletic event that requires conditioning, concentration, training, and teamwork. Dogs and handlers must negotiate an obstacle course while racing against the clock. Agility is a great form of exercise for both dog and handler, and a fun way to bond.
Scent
Enjoy the wonder of your dog’s scenting abilities! Scent class teaches dogs to find a specific target odor then advances all the way up to target odors in container, interior room searches, exterior searches, and automobile searches.
Obedience
Obedience is the foundation to everything we do. Dogs are trained to walk on a loose leash, pay attention, sit, down and stay. We use positive methods and lots of praise and treats to keep your dog working happily. Once you mastered the basics you can move on to more advanced obedience or other fun activities like agility, scent work, rally, flyball and more!
Canine First Aid
You don’t want anything bad to happen to your dog, but unfortunately, emergencies are a part of life. Therefore, it’s important to be prepared with key knowledge on how to save your pup. We will spend time on the three most common pet emergencies in Florida: CPR, Heat Exhaustion and Choking. Dr. Carolyn Scott will be on hand to answer questions.
Pinellas County K9 Unit
The K-9 Unit is active in the community not only by attempting to make the community a safer place, but also in the area of public demonstrations. The canine unit provides demonstrations year round, to both public and private school groups, as well as civic organizations. During these demonstrations, mock narcotics searches are conducted as well as basic obedience exercises, article searches, agility tests, and simulated criminal apprehension, where our "bad guy", wearing protective gear, is apprehended by the canine.
Our Building
Located at 4400 34th St. N (Units A-C), we have a 28,000 sqft air conditioned facility. Our facility is broken into three adjoining units. All rescues & vendors will be in Units B & C. We will also have raffles located in these two rooms. All Demonstrations will be held in our turfed unit A.
